Before that first step into plebe summer and throughout the fours years leading up to that last official step off “the yard” on the day of Commissioning, the USNA Parents’ Club of NJ is here to support the Mids and their families as they experience the challenges of the Unites States Naval Academy.  Member families are dedicated and have years of knowledge about life at USNA.  Our special events provide many opportunities for parents to ask questions you may have about your Mid’s experiences during their four years on the yard:

  • our signature tailgates with loads of home-cooked warm meals for the entire Brigade,
  • welcome aboard" picnics so families and soon-to-be plebes can meet one another before I-Day,
  • I-Day welcome wagon on the yard for new parents
  • summer picnics in Northern and Southern New Jersey
  • periodic club dinners with honored guests and speakers
  • annual Commissioning Week tips dinner for soon-to-be alumni parents
  • and our annual spring celebration of our soon-to-be “Junior Officers”

Our membership also includes alumni families who continue to participate in our tailgates and special events, even though their sons and daughters have graduated and no longer attend the Academy. They have made life-long friendships over the four VERY SHORT years, and have so much experience to share.  New and current parents alike find our alumni parents to be a valuable benefit of club membership.
