THANK YOU ALL!!!
NJ Parents' Club thanks all members and friends that made the First Annual BUY-A-BIRD Campaign such a huge success.
With your help and generosity, the NJ Parents' Club clearly reached its goal and beat last years' record of serving 10 turkeys. On November 15, 2014, at the tailgate after the Navy v. Georgia Southern game, NJ Parents' Club served 5 turkeys that were brought to the tailgate already cooked, and 14 MORE that we fried on-site. This tremendous feast was in addition to many other sides and meals like 40 lbs. of homemade cranberry sauces of different varieties, sides of beef grilled for the Mids, pasta and rice dishes, salads, and even sausage and peppers, and mac & cheese. In addition, 85 Taylor-ham & egg & cheese sandwiches were prepared for the breakfast group of cheerleaders and other Mids who stopped by before the game. In total, it was reported by Bill Asdal, NJ Parents' Club president, that 760 Mids and 75 non-Mids were fed after the game, and another 85 before the game. Oh yeah ... we were also able to bring a few trays of leftovers back to Bancroft Hall for late night snacks.
NONE OF THIS COULD HAPPEN WITHOUT YOUR GRACIOUS SUPPORT so please continue to tell all your friends and relatives about the New Jersey Parents' Club.
