Dr. Sobczak is a Distinguished Graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy with the Class of 1977. His degree was a BS in Oceanography. He earned his designation as a Naval Aviator in September of 1978. After assignments to Patrol Squadron 26 in Brunswick, ME and the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC he elected to pursue a medical degree.
Dr. Sobczak attended the Uniformed Services University of the Health Science in Bethesda, Maryland graduating with the Class of 1987. He was presented his MD degree by President Ronald Reagan. Dr. Sobczak completed a Transitional Internship at the National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. His specialty training in Radiation Oncology was completed at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, part of the Harvard Medical School.

Led the only comprehensive Oncology Department at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, Virginia
Promoted to CAPT, USN prior to retirement at the permanent rank of CDR
Retirement highlights:
Nationally recognized expert in the field of Prostate Cancer.
Named a Philadelphia “Top Doc” for 8 consecutive years.
Selected as a Fellow of the American College of Radiology, an honor given to less than 2% of all radiation oncologists nationwide.
Currently working with a nationwide firm to ensure quality care for all cancer patients.
