Guest Speaker:

Steve Wade, Author

Steve Wade and his wife Mary Jane spent many days perched on the bulkhead along the Severn as they watched both their daughters (’19 and ’22) navigate life as U.S. Naval Academy midshipmen. Steve has journaled his observations throughout his seven years visiting the Yard. This book is an insightful compilation of his humorous ponderings and heart piercing stories told from a parent’s perspective. You will find inner truth in Steve’s writing which will bring water balloon tears of hope and joy as you reflect on your own future Navy or Marine Corps officer. If you have worn white works, service dress blues on parade or walked along Stribling in summer whites, may these writings bring good memories and bear truth as you look back on your time as a midshipman. There is a good chance you will also find a whole barrel of pride in who your children are becoming and the years of hard work and prayer which helped set them on their course.

Morgan, class of ‘19, is a LT j.g. serving on a fast attack sub stationed at Pearl Harbor.

Mary Bishop, class of ‘22, is on T.A.D. (Temporary Assigned Duty) at the Naval Academy. She reports to sub school in Charleston late October.

Steve's day job is a custom home builder of 24 years.

You will have the opportunity to get the book signed by the author.

We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Go Navy!
