Please join us for our Spring Celebration Zoom recognizing the firsties and their families.

Sat. April 24th 7:00 p.m.

If you want to join early, there will be a "cocktail hour" beginning at 6:30.

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to congratulate New Jersey Firsties and their families. The club will hold a brief Annual Meeting to vote on the incoming slate of officers. We will then take time to celebrate our Firsties with a program of speakers followed by time for Firsties and their families to reminisce about their four years by the Bay before commissioning and heading out to the Fleet or Corps. It is always wonderful and re-affirming to hear the Firsties and their parents speak on the eve of Commissioning. Thank you for your service.

Go Navy!!

Navy Midshipmen win Big over USF!

The USNA NJ PARENTS’ CLUB Tailgate hit the ground running this past Saturday morning.  With an early setup crew on hand we forged ahead into the actual food preparation for both Brunch and Dinner. We had quite a number of seasoned and new tailgaters on deck which made setup of the tables, tablecloths, chairs, chaffing racks, grills, banners and countless other moving parts a breeze. With more than enough volunteers on hand we quickly had our Brunch serving grilled up and ready to serve. We had our traditional NJPC Taylor Ham and Cheese sandwiches along with a good serving of pierogis and other tailgate favorites for the Mids to choose from.

Our noon Pep rally was really motivating and had a good turnout which helped us in our efforts in preparation of the post-game feeding.  The fall weather was perfect for tailgating and allowed us to enjoy a great day under the sun with some good friends, families and music. With such a great atmosphere of Teamwork we were more than eager to fire up the grills and prepare some goodness to serve to our Mids.

Post-game operations were in full swing with volunteers lined up along the chow line waiting for the wave of Mids to ascend upon the NJPC Tailgate. Our efforts helped us serve well over 500 meals to our Midshipmen this past game. First Command handed out cool and refreshing drinks for the Mids to enjoy. The Mids were also treated by The Southeastern Parents Association to a wonderful assortment of decadent desserts, cookies and other wonderful treats! This combined effort of our groups helps us provide a great spread for the Mids to enjoy.

Thank you to everyone who helped the USNA New Jersey Parents’ club setup, prep, cook, serve, donated or in any way help make this Tailgate possible in our efforts to help Feed the Mids! We truly appreciate your dedication and kindness. Setup, serving and tailgate cleanup were all held in record times this last game which was a testament to the many wonderful volunteers making this possible. We look forward to seeing you all again this coming Saturday!

Navy vs Pirates Home Game Tailgate

a Great Win for the Mids!

The Navy Midshipmen took command and stopped any chances of the East Carolina University Pirates from taking over during this last Home game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. With a final score of Navy 42 - Pirates 10, Navy once again showed their colors and Sank the Pirates for the win!

Tailgate operations were in full swing this past weekend as we were joined by our friends of the Korean Parents Club who generously provided and prepared a great feast of over 100 Pounds of Korean Beef BBQ and 450 delicious dumplings for our Mids to enjoy. A great big round of appreciation and thanks to them and all of the members who fervently worked in harmony at the New Jersey Parents Club tailgate grills to make this wonderful and very delicious meal for all of our Mids to enjoy. Bravo Zulu!

Our first wave of Mids for our brunch service was Glee, D&B,Highland dancers as well as cheerleaders and Navy Spirit Performers. The Pork Roll(Taylor Ham)sandwiches are always a hit with this bunch and we get quite a turnout of Mids. After the game the evening meal line rapidly formed as the Mids came rushing down the hill after the great Navy win over ECU! We were all in great spirits as we celebrated and served up the goodness for this great victory.

Along with the regular tailgate crew we also had a great number of 2/C parents weekend parents,Plebe Parents and visiting parents from out of state out in full force and helping to “Man the Rails” in service to our Mids. The Mids were treated to quite a number of very different and delicious meals prepared and cooked with love from members across the area and locally.

The Mids were generously treated to desserts by the USNA SE Pennsylvania Parents Association and cool, refreshing drinks were kindly provided by First Command during the tailgate.

We eagerly look forward to our next tailgate as Navy takes on Air Force on Oct 5th at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium

Season Opener Tailgate

The USNA New Jersey Parents Club had a great Season Opener Tailgate on Saturday August 31st, 2019 as The Navy Midshipman took on and crushed Holy Cross in a 45-7 Navy win!

public.jpeg

We were glad to see so many old friends, families, partners & quite a few new Class of 2023 Families at the tailgate. With all of the help things went very smoothly and we had a very successful first tailgate. The amount and quality of Food donated to help Feed the Mids was amazing and once again all part of “The Miracle on Asphalt” that happens at each New Jersey Parents Club Tailgate.

With the help of our Club members, and volunteers we were able to feed several hundred Midshipman. Our Brunch Serving included D&B,Cheerleaders and Navy Spirit performers. The post game wave of Midshipman was even larger and we were able to serve up some New Jersey hospitality and goodness to our Mids. Overall it was a great day to Feed the Brigade of Midshipman.

We were honored to have Grant Vermeer of Academy Insider stop by and talk to us and let us share a little bit about what we do and how we Serve the Brigade of Midshipman. Grant and his family are always welcome back to the New Jersey Parents Club Tailgate.

With the first Tailgate down and looking ahead for the next Game in just a few short days, We want to sayThank You to everyone that helped, donated, volunteered and just made for another outstanding day at the New Jersey Parents Club Tailgate! We look forward to seeing everyone again in Annapolis!
