USNA NJPC SPRING DINNER
In addition to fellowship and celebrating the commissioning class of 2026, there will be a short Business Meeting and the election of Club Officers for the 2026 Club year. All members are invited to attend.
We are honored to have Lieutenant Shawn Davis USNA ‘21 as our guest speaker.
A Junior Officers journey to the Fleet -
bio: Lieutenant Shawn Davis earned his commission from the United States Naval Academy in May 2021, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Ocean Engineering. Following commissioning, he completed the Navy’s rigorous nuclear power training pipeline, where he was entrusted to provide supervisory-level oversight on integrated nuclear propulsion operations. In September 2024, he was officially certified as a Nuclear Engineer by Naval Reactors.
At sea, LT Davis served onboard USS Nevada Blue (SSBN 733), where he completed three strategic deterrence patrols and stood over 1,000 hours as Officer of the Deck and Engineering Officer of the Watch. During his tenure, he served as the Quality Assurance Officer, Tactical Systems Officer, Assistant Operations Officer, and Main Propulsion Assistant. Recognized for his excellence in the fleet, he was named USS Nevada’s Junior Officer of the Year in 2024.
He is currently serving as an NROTC Instructor at Duke University, dedicated to mentoring the next generation of naval leaders morally, mentally, and physically. During his shore tour, he intends to complete a master's degree. When he isn't studying or in the office, he can be found refereeing local soccer games, rooting for the New York Giants, or out on walks with his wife, Kayla, and their dog, Finn.
